Sovmortrans projects Novorossiysk a container terminal

  • Sovmortrans CJSC (of the Sovfraht-Sovmortrans group of companies) announced it had planned to begin this year construction of a container terminal in Novorossiysk (Krasnodar Territory), RZD-Partner IA reports quoting a source in the company.

    “We are ready to purchase the construction sites, actually, at a good
    price for us, and with the prospect of return “, said an official who
    declined to be identified.

    Currently the Sovmortrans’ portfolio of assets include a container
    depot SMT and Interferrum-Metal’s Marine Container Terminal in St.
    Petersburg.

    Sovmortrans CJSC provides intermodal and multimodal logistics services,
    container seaborne shipments. The company cooperates with the world’s
    leading shipowners Sealand, OOCL, CMA CGM and has its own containers
    fleet, and also deal with other containers owners.
